This is a bash script which does almost exactly the same as cp, except that it provides a progress bar. Progress is provided with respect to the full operation, that is ALL files being copied.

The flags possible with cp aren't really supported, but it always copies recursively ( cp '-r' flag is set when run), so copying directories should work fine. If someone wants to expand on this, to handle cp options properly, go right ahead...
