๐Ÿ’ธ Support me

Unfortunately, my home internet connection doesn't allow me to host a blocklist, so I'm asking for your support. Every donation will be helpful, and the VPS server will be available all the time. Additionally, this project will be continuously supported by me. Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜น๐Ÿ˜ป

๐Ÿ“ Information

Visit the official website of the project blocklist.sefinek.net to get more details.

๐Ÿ“ฆ How to acquire the blocklist?

You have two options for acquiring the blocklist.

  • The first option is to generate your own list, which is recommended for all users as it allows for customization based on specific needs and preferences.
  • The second option is to utilize the default list provided. This may be suitable for those who prefer a quick and straightforward solution without the need for customization.

โŒ How to Report a False Positive?

You can report a false positive by creating a new Issue, sending me a message on Discord, or through email. Within 48 hours, I will add the domain or subdomain to the whitelist. Shortly thereafter, the false positive will be automatically removed from the blocklist via GitHub Actions. The blocklists on the primary server (blocklist.sefinek.net) are updated every 25 hours (cron schedule: 0 1,6 * * *).

โฐ Can I create a Pull Request and add a false positive to the whitelist?

Of course, you can definitely create such a Pull request. Remember to follow the required syntax! You can find it at the very top of the whitelists/main.txt file.

sefinek-blocklist-collection's Issues

Source suggestion

Hi, I'm the maintainer of https://github.com/jarelllama/Scam-Blocklist , a blocklist for newly created scam and phishing domains automatically retrieved using Google Search API, automated NRD detection, and other public sources.

Seems to fall under your categories of

Malicious
Phishing
Fraud
Scam

As part of my filtering process, a list of parked domains is generated as a byproduct:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jarelllama/Scam-Blocklist/main/data/parked_domains.txt
This list seems to fit your categories of

Hate & junk
Useless websites

This parked domains list is capped at 7000 entries and is updated daily (unparked sites are automatically removed too)

None of generated list is work

All lists doesn't work. After generating for pi-hole it's saying that list doesn't exist and yest it's true. When I click directly it's saying on Polish language that link doesn't exist. Please fix it.

Blocking of LGBTQ+ helpful and friendly sites, describing as "useless"

Hi there,

Within the list of "useless websites", there are quite a few that pertain to LGBTQ+ community members, many of which are harmless and potentially helpful. One such example is pfp.lgbt, which simply allows for the addition of pride banners to your profile picture.

Given these websites are far from useless, and not malicious, could I ask they be removed from the list, or at the very least have a reasonable explanation provided for why they are present?

Maintenance

Currently, maintenance work is being carried out on the server hosting the block lists.

Tiny Correction

Thank you for putting in effort to create this collection. I started using pi-hole today and installed your lists from your site (cool design btw).

There is a tiny correction needed in the project's readme where in the Information section's Note, the hyperlink for "default blocklist" is "https://github.com/sefinek24/lists/Index.md", instead of "https://github.com/sefinek24/Sefinek-Blocklist-Collection/blob/main/lists/Index.md".

I know it is annoying to point out such things, and it is not my intention to do that.

Thank you once again ๐Ÿ˜ธ
