This included not only the inclusion but also exclusion of items as well as the ability to dynamically register or unregister items as needed.

Rules can be set that are used to determine and a registered item is visible. For example while someone right clicks on a class one might be able to navigate to a its definition, but that command should not be available when right clicking on a folder.
