esp32-weatherdisplay's Introduction

header

Hi, I'm Sebastian 👋

For the past 11 years, I worked at Michigan State University on a project to better understand the regulation of photosynthesis in highly dynamic environments by developing tools to access photosynthetic phenotypes outside the lab.

Tinkering around with electronics and software, I like to work and build projects, that are not just hacks but integrate into my everyday life.

esp32-weatherdisplay's Issues

V1 Displays discontinued -> V2 Support?

Hello,

first of all, a very interesting project. I searched for the components but can't find the black/white/yellow version of the display nor the V1 version of the black/white/red displays because they are all discontinued. So my question would be if I could use the V2 version of the black/white/red version of the display. The V2 has a slightly higher resolution -> 800 x 480. The V1 has a resolution of 640 x 384. The hardware connections are the same as the V1.

Edit:
I just noticed that the project uses “DarkSky”. Is there an option for other APIs like openweathermap? Because support for the “DarkSky” APIs expired on March 31, 2023...

One sensor

Hello!
Very interesting project!
I just want to ask why don't you using one pcb with all 3 sensors like CJMCU-8128 (board with CCS811, BMP280 and SI702x)?
Thank you.

p.s. It's not an issue but I don't understand how to label this message as 'enhancement' for example :(
