Why it's needed?

Zabbix already has in default "Template OS Linux" key "Number of logged in users" (system.users.num)
Also, without using this template you can use this key anywhere to create Graphs and Triggers.

Your template Absolutely useless.
It's necessary to find internal solution before create crazy decisions.
