Repo URL is missing a slash

I just noticed the repo URL is missing a slash and won't resolve. Unfortunately, I don't have the permissions to fix it.

Support dark-mode

@kylegordy and I had discussed this at one point, and I wanted to make sure we didn't forget it.

Since this is a tech blog, dark mode is very important ๐Ÿ˜ธ

Make the featured-series tags more permanent

@kylegordy I was thinking about featured-series and I think to make a "related content" widget work long-term, we would be better served by having blog posts in a series share the same featured-series tag.

For example:

  • featured-weaver
  • featured-aws-migration

Then the hero on the home page could just be a config value stating which featured series to use, but the posts would be immutable, so the related content widget we discussed would always work.

Whatcha think?

Team Structure Section

@rtyler Now that the MVP is launched, I wanted to circle back on the team section we removed due to time constraints.

Here's the original design, and here's the updated accordion design we talked about.

What I like about the accordion is it allows users to peak into teams they're curious about without wasting a lot of space. I also ordered each team in a top-down version of your org chart, so it has another layer of meaning.

Anyways, let me know what you think.

Make tags clickable

I noticed tags within a blog post are just text that aren't clickable. It would help visitors better explore the content if we can turn them into links:

Make Codebase Section Info Real

Screen Shot 2019-11-20 at 5 54 24 PM

The codebase section is coded up ๐Ÿš€

I took my best guess at picking languages/libraries I think you all use.

@rtyler Can you help me sure this up? I need a name and a short description of each item. I can grab the icons from the web.

I wouldn't go beyond 12 items (10 are in the mockup).

Rework the "featured series" on the home page

As it turns out, we're not writing nearly as many "series" of blog posts as we expected when this design was created.

In lieu of a "featured series" that section of the home page should just highlight the last 2 recent posts which are not currently featured on the left slot.
