Prototype: lennerd.github.io/git-for-beginners
Bachelor thesis: “Git for Beginners” (PDF, German)

Git for Beginners, Screencast

This early prototype is part of my bachelor thesis “Git for Beginners” conducted in winter 2017.

Vermittlung von komplexen Themen mit Hilfe von interaktiven Web-Tutorials am Beispiel der Versionierung mit Git

This prototype was bootstrapped with Create React App.

Available Scripts

Once downloaded or cloned to the local computer in the project directory you can run:

yarn install

Installs all the dependencies.

yarn start

Runs the tutorial in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in the browser.

The page will reload if you make edits.
You will also see any lint errors in the console.

yarn build

Builds the tutorial for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.

The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

yarn deploy

Builds and deploys a new version of the tutorial into gh-pages.
The new version is accessible via lennerd.github.io/git-for-beginners/.
