Nice, I'd love to get a pure numpy one.
Just curious, why not using OpenCV's since we have the wrapper in the scikits?

We no longer have an OpenCV wrapper, since they've gotten around to improving theirs to use views (it was deprecated in 0.4). Also, I asked people about this at last year's EuroSciPy, and the response was almost unanimous: please don't include a dependency on OpenCV. So, I guess we'll be duplicating some stuff. Of course, users are free to use OpenCV too!

Oops, I did not follow that ;-) Yeah, everyone seems to agree to stay away from OpenCV...
