Contributing

  • Submit any patches against the meta-musicians layer by using the GitHub pull-request feature.

Policies

  • Please do not send private emails to maintainer - they will not be answered anymore. For bug-reports/questions/suggestions.. use issues.
  • Pull requests should follow OE-Styleguide with the following additions:
    • Use 4 spaces for indentation always (shell and python code)
    • For splitting of long list values use four-space indentation on successive lines and prefer the closing quote as the first character (OE-Styleguide - second example)
    • Pull-requests with patches fixing issues for musl, clang or gold-linker are accepted only if patches have upstream-status "Applied" or "Backport" and contain a link to the upstream patch.
  • Be aware that this layer changes other layer's defaults by bbappends. Maintainer disagrees with common 'configure to death practice' and won't waste time explaining dozens of knobs that are mandatory to get working/useful builds. See appends. Pull requests removing appends for sake of magic 'compliant' scripts are not accepted.

Guitarix: Error-Messages due to missing gx_colwah.lv2 files

I tried to build poky with guitarix 0.39.0 (using https://github.com/schnitzeltony/meta-musicians/blob/master/recipes-musicians/guitarix/guitarix.bb ) for a raspberry pi. The compilation succeeded, but when starting, guitarix reports following errors:

error: failed to open file /usr/lib/lv2/gx_colwah.lv2/manifest.ttl (No such file or directory)
lilv_world_load_file(): error: Error loading file `file:///usr/lib/lv2/gx_colwah.lv2/manifest.ttl'
lilv_world_load_bundle(): error: Error reading file:///usr/lib/lv2/gx_colwah.lv2/manifest.ttl

xfce4-mixer does not store controls

Seems something has changed in xfconf. Running xfce4-mixer from console says:

(xfce4-mixer:883): xfconf-common-WARNING **: 00:07:48.621: GType GPtrArray_GValue_ doesn't map to an Xfconf type

(xfce4-mixer:883): xfconf-common-WARNING **: 00:07:48.622: Unable to convert GType '(null)' to GVariant

move repositories to openembedded

Hi,
would be really useful if you can merge your repo with openembedded.
A name like meta-audio or putting the recipes in meta-multimedia would be great :-)

xmonk.lv2 GUI broken

Error message:

suil error: Unable to open UI library /usr/lib/lv2/Xmonk.lv2/Xmonk_ui.so (/usr/lib/lv2/Xmonk.lv2/Xmonk_ui.so: undefined symbol: _binary_mandala_png_start)

linuxsampler does not build

Unfinished recipe was added silently here during meta-qt5-extra -> meta-musicians transition.

  • We need a common solution without nasty assembler code
  • Add QSampler
