wilhelmsksupport's Issues

feature request: render font center instead of flush right

Right now the digital and normal font is rendered flash right inside the gauges. That sometimes looks inconsistent, not very nice and becomes hard to read, especially when far away from screen and two gauges are close together with each gauges showing a 3 digit number.

Alarm Won't Silence

I am getting an Unknown Seatalk Alarm that beeps constantly. It reads as connected to autopilot, but the autopilot is off. Disabling alarms in WilhelmSK settings does not stop it. Neither does Alarm Silencer which is installed and verified in WilhelmSK settings as enabled. I would be grateful for any suggestions. There does not seem to be any actual problem.

Feature Request

You can swipe left & right to change screens. I request ability to swipe up & down to change layouts.

Ability to Save & Reuse Gauge

It'd be nice to setup a gauge and be able to reuse its settings elsewhere. Changing things like font sizes and dimensions would effect all gauges but changing the label text or data source would change values on the particular instance.

AWA/TWA should be a 3-digit number

Number of digits for AWA/TWA (and possibly GWA) is set to "04" by default and of course, showing 4 digits, which is wrong because wind angle is anything between 0 and 180°.
It is not possible to change the setting to 3 digits. It always reverts to "04".

Feature request: add fonts for digits in gauges

IMO the current digit font is outdated and looks a bit 70ish.
A modern font for digits, like the one for Units and Title would give it way more modern and integrated look. And if one can adjust the size of the font, the better.

How to Transfer Layouts to New Devices?

I created 4 layouts (gauges) in WilhelmSK iOS (v 17.4.1 on an iPhone 13). Am getting a 2nd iPhone. Is there a way to transfer the layouts so I don’t have to rebuild them from scratch? I see 4 *.wlyt files in my iPhone “FILES” WilhelmSK folder with names that correspond to the layouts. Do I simply stick a copy of those in a similar folder in my new iPhone? Or do they need to be recreated on the new iPhone?

I assume I can buy a refurbished iPhone on Amazon and simply use WIFI to get and use your app from the AppStore? I don’t need a cellular activation or anything, right?

Thank you.

Generic kWh

I’m trying to insert a “Generic kWh” gauge. In “digital”, it reads zero. However, when I switch to analog, bar, or circle, it displays the correct value. Just in digital does it show zero.

feature: gauge settings specific to connection

It'd be great to have gauge/layout settings specific a connection. So when switching to VRM or Venus it would have pages/layouts specific to the data available on that connection. When switching dual it has specific pages.

Thermostat

I like the idea of the Thermostat pane. I understand that the "setting" is not currently settable. I'm hoping to use this for various functions of temperature control. For example, on my last boat, I had a Wabasto heater with a typical household thermostat. My goal before I sold it was to replace that with a Shelly switch and program SK to use zones to turn it on and off. Now that there is a Thermostat pane, I'd do it a different way.

If the setting were adjustable, it'd be easy to control the Shelly with Node-Red and report back to the Status delta to update the Thermostat's state. There's a concern of it being too accurate, so adding in a simple delay delay into Node-Red would keep the shelly and the heating unit from cycling too much. Essentially the shelly would be used to close & open the relay currently controlled by the thermostat.

That's my idea. Obviously, you could expand it out to AC and refrigerating systems (including an internal fan with additional logic to help with circulation & defrosting).

Feature request: enhance AIS Targets visibility

AIS targets are difficult to identify with Navionics maps. The blue/white colours merge with map colours. It would be good to have a colour (maybe bold) so that one can identify targets on first sight. Another nice to have could be adjustable size of of AIS targets.

Grey screen after logging into Active Captain

After logging in it shows a grey screen with a spinning wheel like it's doing something but it goes on like that forever. Closing this grey screen shows that login was successful and that an update is in progress.
