Sara's Bikeshare Project

Description

This Project analyzes raw data from Motivate, a bike-share system provider. It pulls data from three CSV files and provides the following stats:

  1. Popular times of Travel
  • Most common month
  • Most common day of weekday
  • Most common hour of day
  1. Popular Stations and Trip
  • Most common end station
  • Most common start station
  • Most common trip from start to end
  1. Trip Duration
  • Total travel time
  • Average travel time
  1. User info
  • Counts of each user type
  • Counts of each gender
  • Earliest, most recent, most common year of birth (only available for NYC and Chicago)

The Project also prompts the user to choose from the following options to filter the raw data:

  1. Would you like to see data for Chicago, New York or Washington?
  2. Would you like to filter the data by month, day or not at all?
  3. (If they choose month)Which month - January, February, March, April, May or June?
  4. (If they choose day)Which day - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday?

The script also anticipates user error and at the end prompts the user if they would like to"

  • See the draw data at five chunks at a time
  • Restart the Program
