To create an installable firefox addon from these files, run zip switchasitype.xpi install.rdf bootstrap.js. To install the addon, open switchasitype.xpi with firefox.

Dictionary list broken in firefox 17

The extension is currently broken: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=843727

There is not much one can do about in this extension.

Just a suggestion to link from addons.mozilla.org to the repository.

Enhancement: Detect Language using CLD

Mozilla bug 971047 introduced the CLD library to detect a language given some text. This could be more resilient (and possibly easier) to detect languages.

It's as simple as detectLanguage(text), see LanguageDetector.jsm

Compatibility with latest Firefox

dictionaries have become ordinary extensions instead of being listed
separately in the add-ons list, I mean there was some kind of redesign in
the field of spell checking dictionaries. I have a pt_BR and an en_US
spell checkers installed.
I just did a test with this very email, and typing more than 5 words in
pt_BR didn't switch the dictionary.
