When the omap-hsmmc driver is built into the kernel (not a module) it tries to
make use of the omap cpufreq driver. However, this driver is loaded with
late_initcall which means it isn't available when the platform devices are set
up. This leads to a null pointer dereference.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Compile 2.8.28.NIT.06 with MMC driver set to "y"
2. Boot this kernel
3. Kernel panic before framebuffer init
What is your device, RootFS, Multiboot and kernel versions?
N900, 0.0.6, None, 2.6.28.NIT.06
What was installation method?
Unpack rootfs to MMC card, build kernel as stated, install modules, put uImage
on first fat partition, boot with u-boot.
Please provide any additional information below. Logs (logcat, dmesg) are
highly appreciated. (log collector available @
http://downloads.nitdroid.com/android-log-collector-1.1.0.apk)
No logs available due to early kernel panic before any output devices are
initialized.
I am not sure why nokia chose to configure cpufreq with late_initcall instead
of arch_initcall. However, it does not seem to affect anything. But I don't
know for sure if there is a good reason why this was done. Attached patch
changes it to arch_initcall so it will be registered at the same time as the
other platform drivers, that is, before the platform devices try to use it.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to talk.maemo.org in browser in nitdroid
2. Attempt to login to site using username / password field in upper right
3. Enter username and password
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be able to enter my name and password and click on the "GO" button,

I am able to enter my username, but when I enter the password, I need to use
numbers. Once I get to a number, I press and hold the blue arrow, the w/2 key,
and the page reloads.
This has happened on other sites as well (xda-developers). However, on Google,
I am able to sign in using numbers in both my username and password, so it is

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Install Nitdroid as per auto-installer instructions on wiki:
http://wiki.nitdroid.com/index.php?title=N900-Autoinstaller (as per ~20 Aug
2010) - note: at time - it was necessary to manually add extras-devel and
testing in order to install package nitdroid-installer.
2.After successful install and boot to Nitdroid, returning to Maemo user finds
package upgrades to multiboot* packages available.
3.Unsuspecting installs upgrades which are actually from Maemo
(extras-devel/testing) which replace needed multiboot packages from Nitdriod.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected result is Nitdroid versions of multiboot packages are preferred, but
Maemo version prevail.
What is your device, RootFS and kernel versions?
Linux Nokia-N900 2.6.28.10power40 #1
Please provide any additional information below.
It appears Maemo doesn't have apt-pinning configured/installed - alternative
method of preventing Nitdroid multiboot packages being removed:
Rename packages and add conflict with Maemo packages involved?
Configure apt-pinning?
Auto add/remove extras-devel/testing apt-repos in sources.lst file during
auto-install script?

keep up with the transmission/reception and slows it way down.

"http.globe.com.ph". It seems to connect as the icon for EDGE appears. Whenever
I try to access a website, the up arrow in the icon blinks as to indicate some
activity but the down arrow blinks sometimes but most of the time it doesn't
indicate any downloading activity. After a few seconds, I get a "Server not
found" error on the browser.
I also tried settings for my network from android users in the philippines but
it didn't work also.
By the way, the radio seems to be working as i have a full signal and it rang
when someone called.
I attached the radio.log and boot.log
I hope this will be resolved. i'm looking forward to make nitdroid the primary
OS for my N900.

If it would be possible, faking a special device or features to get access to

Phone functionality of N900 doesn't work neither with Eclair nor Froyo builds.
Phone and GPS are crucially important features to make more people using the
NITdroid.
