Post processing script for plex DVR

Plex Client/Server Updates to Discord

I reworked the script so it's all in one. It has also been updated to work on the new Discourse Plex Forums.

The new script only works with discord. I removed slack compatibility.

plex's Issues

Issues running the script

Hi samwiseg0,

Thanks for the script and the detailed notes. I added the script to a local folder on the CentOS PLEX server and added the script to the DVR settings /path/PlexPostProc.sh. FFMPEG never kicks in after records end (commercial removal not enabled) and LOGS show "exit code for process 1160 is 127 (failure)". I am able to manually run FFMPEG from the CLI without issues (ffmpeg -i /path/file.ts -s hd720 -c:v libx264 -preset veryfast -vf yadif -c:a copy /path/test.mkv).

I am technical but not experienced in scripts, programming or even the LINUX CLI. I read in your script description that USAGE should be 'PlexPostProc.sh %1' . Does that mean that I need to add the %1 (and even the ') in the DVR settings (ie; /path/'PlexPostProc.sh %1')?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS!

Trying to figure this one out

So I cloned your repo to my /usr/local/src and then I setup a symlink to /opt for the scripts section. Is there any changes to the agent conf file for zabbix that I need to make in order for this to work? Zabbix is still showing that its trying to pull the logs from /var when thats not an option for me since my plex runs in docker. I updated the config python to have the correct values in it for tautulli and plex with api and token keys and the correct domains. Ran the python scripts by hand and they return the data but its like zabbix isn't looking at the right place. This is my first real active check done with zabbix so it might be a learning curve issue on my end as well. Thank you for putting together such an awesome template.
