Developpement

Installation

Init db tables with sampling data

npm run proxy
npm run init

Run

npm run dev

will start API server + client dev server

Production

Env variables

GITM_PORT=3000 # server port
GITM_FILE_DIRECTORY=/gitm/files # location where pictures are stored
GITM_OWNER=Samuel # Cellar user
GITM_DB_FILE=/db_v1.db # DB filename

npm start

will build the client + launch the server

Replace socket.io by server push event

Stream api conf @ bestofweb

Remove server process env (Folder path & co for pictures) in config file. Define them inside server/server.js

Why ?
It's painfull to define them for CI tests

Update nginx config

In order to setup continious deployement we need a more stateless artifect but today permanent pictures & tempory file are located inside the project.

Solution:

add a pattern for picture files instead of
/assets/uploads
/assets/tmp_uploads

use

/img/

and allows config to set up everywhere according to env variable.

TODO

update config.js
update server/wine/service.js to edit thumbnailFileName & pictureFileName with the new path
update nginx template file for dev server

becareful of R/RW rights in server side
