Installation

Manual:

  • Clone the repo and migrate configuration files as necessary.
  • All of my explicityly installed programs are in the pkglist.txt and pkglist-aur.txt files.

Automatic (Arch Linux only, work in progress):

Run the following set of commands on an Arch Linux system.

git clone https://github.com/hisbaan/hass $HOME/hass; \
$HOME/hass/hass.sh

Answer the prompts that appear.

The script will create a backup folder for your old configs in ~/hass-backup. There will be an uninstall script in the future that assumes ~/hass-backup exists so don’t delete the folder if you’re just trying out my config.

Notable Scripts

Reads a theme from the .xcolors directory and applies it to xresources and all used applications. I no longer use this as I have switched to flavours.

Creates a colour scheme in a format that update-theme can read and places it in the .xcolors directory based on user input. This will be adaped to work with flavours.

Opens an emacs window and allows the user to type in LaTeX code which can then be coppied to the user’s clipboard as latex or unicode (depending on the script run).

Makes a playlist file that can be read by a music player such as ncmpcpp. Currently only finds mp3 files.
