The reason why this breaks is because the first lace.next call will increment the private index variable to lacing.length. The second lace.next call will therefore lose the correct index and exceed lacing.length.

To fix this, lace.next needs to keep the correct index in it's state...somehow.

Using patterns like this http://bit.ly/MvhkYj, I can imagine a logo of large text were the word "lace" (in lower case) are displayed. The text could have the pattern as a background, or a pattern could embed the word inside it.

Other ideas would be to just make a cool shoelace or yarn connecting the letters of the word "lace". Or, incorporate the ace symbol within the logo.
