Caesar ciphers are a simple form of substitution ciphers in which each letter in the original text is replaced by a letter some fixed number of positions down the alphabet. Such a fixed number is referred to as the key. Obviously, it is easy to perform, but also easy to crack - just try out all 25 keys. A better version of substitution ciphers is to use a word as the key, rather than a number.

crossreferencegenerator icon crossreferencegenerator

Design and implement a program that scans a C source file and outputs all identifiers, along with the line numbers on which they occur.

egr424project1 icon egr424project1

This project is intended to develop your familiarity with ARM assembly language and the ARM development tool suite. You will demonstrate this familiarity by studying the assembly representation of a C function.

securitysystem icon securitysystem

An embedded system that translates the specifications and requirements into a working prototype. The system to be designed and built is a home security system. This system will feature the TI MSP432 microcontroller board that will interpret information received from sensors such as pushbuttons, a temperature sensor, a proximity sensor, and manipulate a graphics display and other various outputs that meet specifications.

User interface that provides useful feedback and debugging for the MSP432 Home Security System.

sidescroller icon sidescroller

Our first attempt at creating a functioning side scoller using the fundamentals of parallax scrolling, a javascript game engine, and a 2D perspective. This game or "Test Run" is built on top of a basic javascript game engine and modified to include the features listed below.

steppercontroller icon steppercontroller

Use the Timer peripherals to implement a stepper motor driver with linear ramp-up/ramp-down of stepping speed. An integrated dual H-bridge driver such as the L293 or SN754410 may be used with a low-current stepper motor. The linear acceleration profile must be interrupt-driven such that the change in step speed is synchronous with the steps themselves.
