Building the same thing multiple times (e.g. running make -B in the fox32os directory) results in files that aren't bit-identical. I'd guess that the order of some things is probably unstable due to Python's built-in datastructures using randomly-seeded hash functions. This can probably be fixed by sorting something somewhere.

Non-deterministic output makes it harder to check whether some change has resulted in functionally different output or not.

This is slightly inconvenient because it means that some tools (such as diff) will see the output as "binary" rather than text.
