I'm sorry, but I cannot understand what you are asking us.
You have a function, let's call it f
, that is slow, but you cannot simply cache its result because it will change.
Your idea is to run a periodic task every x
seconds that executes f
and temporarily save its result until next loop.
Right?
What exactly is your problem?
Why is your function slow? It is because you are doing some cpu intensive processing or you are waiting for IO?
