I want to use it as a button to make an api call but now it always has to open a window or popup when I click the button.
It would be nice if there was an option "Open URL in ....the background"

If this is still in developement, please consider adding an option for custom icons for both light and dark mode. I've seen extensions switching their icons to white to fit the system dark mode, so it's possible.

I need to use the open url feature, but i need to have it open with out the https:// or http:// ,

Like i need to use for example, Hello://us.bape.com/collections/all/products/1e73-109-909 - when the page i am on is https://us.bape.com/collections/all/products/1e73-109-909

Is it possible to do this?

When using this with chrome, the custom icon is not being displayed. It just shows the generic one.

Could you please modify (and publish) your extension to add additional functionality?

I'm interested in executing keyboard shortcuts, especially Ctrl+F, to popup "Find on page" dialog. Or - if this impossible - could you add some Chrome functionality calls directly (but don't forget to add "Find on page" 😉 )

The reason is: I'm using Google Chrome on PC connected to the large screen TV, and using mouse only (wireless gyro-mouse) to control browser (and popup software keyboard if I need to type). Sometimes I need to find something on the page (in the watched movies history, for example) but in the latest releases damn Google developers hide this useful option (i.e. "Find on page") in the second level menu 😢
