If we have more than one tile for a type of ground (i.e. grass), we can randomize their placement so that it doesn't form a pattern (as nature wouldn't).

Entities are limited to stay within world bounds, but it seems that the bounds aren't exactly the size of the world in tiles (e.g. entities currently can't have X or Y outside [0, 50[ if the world has 50x50 tiles).

Find a combination of scale and texture size (and cropping) that fits all entities.

Create a file listing the game's parameters (e.g. collision bounds, world scale) and read from it on the start

A rabbit running to its lair makes sound. Fresh deer meat can be smelled from quite a distance. A sudden explosion that appeared out of nowhere (but definitely wasn't work of some random god) also makes a very loud sound.

How can we model the process of sound and smell going all the way from its source to the ears/noses of nearby creatures, fading with distance?
