feed-specifications's Issues

Refresh feed

The 'refresh now' button in the developer site doesn't seem to refresh the channel data on my physical Roku device. Is there a way to do that, or is there a specific timeout on the data?

Thanks for your work on this!
Hal

Multiple adBreaks spec

In the Direct Publisher Spec, the adBreaks field says "One or more time codes. Represents a time duration from the beginning of the video where an ad shows up. Conforms to the format: {hh}:{mm}:{ss}".

For this string type, what's the recommended structure for adding multiple?

Live streams support

Hello,

Considering the JSON feed type, does the video object (content -> videos -> video) support live streams as long as videoType is set to a protocol that supports it (HLS/SMOOTH/DASH)? Are there any additional/undocumented properties required (i.e. type->live?) or can this object reference a valid live feed (i.e. m3u8 URL for a live event) at the url field?

Are you planning to also include support for additional content types that would reflect an actual live stream? Currently they seem limited to movie, series, shortFormVideo and tvSpecial only, with no item to reflect a realtime/live stream on a channel app.

Thanks!

Inserting "content" into "episodes" issue

There seems to be an issue when inserting content into episodes.

I get the following parsing error. Structure up until episodes works perfectly.

Invalid property identifier character: {.

Errors in Language sections examples

The Language section of the Direct Publisher Feed and Content, it says

The language the channel uses for all its information and descriptions. (e.g., “en”, “en-US”, “es”, etc.). ISO 639 alpha-2 or alpha-3 language code string.

The ISO 639-2 for English is "eng" and there is no "en-US" (American English, I assume) or "es" (Spanish is "spa"). The examples are all random or in 639-1.

And the "language" property for the caption object says:

A language code for the subtitle (e.g., “en”, “es-mx”, “fr”, etc). ISO 639-2 or alpha-3 language code string.

Unlike the others, it links (properly) to the spec (https://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/php/code_list.php) which also doesn't have "es-mx" and "fr" should be "fre" (or "fra").

Using the wrong standard in the JSON file will break the channel.

adBreaks field type

Hi I don't know if it's an issue but in this link there is an example of an adBreaks field and is an array of strings, and in the README.md is a string, which is the correct one?

Thanks in advance!
