Version 5 of WeeWX will soon be launched. In this version of WeeWX on versions of Python 3.7 or later are supported and the utility weectl replaces many of the functions of the previous various wee_ utilities.

To install using Version 5 the following command is used: -
weectl extension install https://github.com/roe-dl/weewx-svg2png/archive/refs/heads/master.zip

or from a downloaded zip file: -
weectl extension install weewx-svg2png-master.zip

Both methods fail with the following: -

Request to install 'weewx-svg2png-master.zip'.
