Thanks for posting what you've found.

By comparison, for my Samsung U32H750 the declared source values in the capabilities string are 11, 12, and 0f (presumably all hex values, but with Samsung you can't be absolutely certain).

The actual values for the U32H750, as declared in the User Defined Feature file for the monitor, are:

  • x05 HDMI-1
  • x06 HDMI-2
  • x0f DisplayPort

which sort of conforms to what you observe, except for the fact that on your monitor value x0f sets the input source to DisplayPort, but feature x60 reports it as x06. Truly pathological.

I'll create an entry in the wiki page for monitors. You can check it out and edit it. The wiki page is replacing the Notes on Specific Monitors page in www.ddcutil.com, which has not been kept up.

BTW, I see that you're running ddcutil version 0.9.8, which was distributed with Ubuntu 20.04. That's extremely old. I'd encourage you to update to release 2.0.x, available here and on the ddcutil ppa.
