rpms's Issues

Kafka RPM needs to set CLASSPATH in scripts

See the discussion in Discourse. All the kafka scripts depend on setting a classpath, but java can't find it the way the current Kafka RPM is created. Also, the directory /usr/share/kafka should be world readable and scripts executable by the world.

As a work around, and something that needs to be inserted into each of the scripts is something similar to the following:

cp=; for item in /var/lib/kafka/*.jar; do cp="${cp}:${item}"; done; export CLASSPATH=${cp};

Add bro-aux package to dependency of bro package

In Rock 2.4, the bro-aux RPM is not included by default. This should be a dependency of the bro package. Also need to double check that any other of the related bro utilities aren't missing. The bro package should install all the normal things that people expect. If they just want the minimal stuff, they can install bro-core.

issue building bifcl rpm on CentOS 7.8

  1. Clone repo
  2. Modify Makefile to use rock-7-x86_64.cfg since I'm wanting to test on CentOS 7.8
  3. Run vagrant up and ssh to host when complete
  4. cd /vagrant
  5. make rpm spec=bifcl/bifcl.spec

This is the last dependency with an issue for me to build the zeek rpm. Am I doing something wrong?
