Is there a way to put the logging files in a directory that is not $HOME?

I tried writing in $HOME/Dropbox/Application Support/DayOne/Logs and it failed to make any files other than DoneToday.txt

first of all, thanks for the excellent script. Saved me a lot of work migrating tasks from my previous task manager!

I ran into a minor bug yesterday. When setting the due date, you start by setting it to current date and then setting to components from the @Due flag.

This way, there are a couple combinations of current date and due date that try to create invalid dates (e.g. Febuary 30).

It would be better to initialize the dueDate with 1/1/1900.

Consistently get an error when running that says:

"Where is the GrowlHelperApp?" and the program does nothing

yes DTP and Skim are both open ready to go --see attached photo

When I use the web-based capture, the script is capturing too many notes. It will capture all the notes from the book that I am "at" in Safari (https://kindle.amazon.com/your_highlights_and_notes/[ASIN]) but will also capture a handful of notes from another book.

I've replicated this problem consistently with a number of books. Each time, the unwanted clippings come from the same book. It appears like the script captures all the clippings from that book with locations that are higher than the last location clipped from the intended book.

I am using the script OpenProjFolderInDevn.scptd and while compiling it, it gives the error: set «class FCvm» to "project", access not allowed.

I am using Omnifocus 2.6.1 running on El Captan 10.11.6 and Devonthink Pro version 2.9.1.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rob: All of the links to your old ReadTree have disappeared from what I can tell, but have you wrapped it into tree-tools somehow? I have a critical need to convert a huge word docx into opml and pandoc does not work with perfection. I will try to figure out tree-tools, but if there is a more direct route with ReadTree, then I would like to try it as well.

Also, there is a super tree coming that you should be aware of: I just received a patent on an 'ontology' to forest structuring that has many ramifications. In fact, we are looking for a trove of developers for it.

Hi - firstly, thanks so much for your efforts. I'm loving the expandable possibilities of FoldingText and you've gone far and beyond demonstrating this!

I did a search through the applescript and find no hardcoding of your user folder but somehow it goes looking for it when running this on a .todo fold.

I really love the idea behind your script sending annotations from Skim to Devonthink, and I would like to thank you for all the time you spent making it. Unfortunately it never worked really well for me. I'm on El Capitan, using the last version of your script and of Skim. Until recently I was using Devonthink 2.8.4, and for a reason that I haven't been able to understand, the script was only working when the pdf with the annotations wasn't already in the Devonthink database (which was definitely not convenient since all my pdfs are already in the database). I was hoping that updating Devonthink to the lastest version might resolve the issue, as it could have come from an incompatibility with El Capitan, but on the contrary the script now doesn't work at all. When I launch it, it only creates the new group in Devonthink, but do not import the text files containing the annotations.
Any idea about what could be the problem here?

I'm new to applescripts in general, so maybe I'm too stupid, but when running the applescript for skim I'm getting the error on the picture every time. Do I do anything wrong? I'm running OSX 10.8, the newest version of Devonthink Pro Office and Skim. Ive selected a folder in Devonthink and opened a pdf with notes in skim. Thanks for your help!

I'm sure I'm just doing something dumb, but the keyboard shortcuts ⌘⌥' and ⌘⇧9 aren't working for me at all to activate the plugin. I have installed jmk_panel.ftplugin and restarted the app.

In the script for sending Kindle highlights to Devonthink, the resulting text seems to have overly-frequent line breaks; it looks like lines are broken at about 55 characters. This creates lots of wasted space and unnecessary scrolling on widescreen monitors. Is it possible to adjust this line length to something longer, or even to avoid manual breaks and let DT wrap the RTF as necessary?

There are strange chars in the code in the import from OPML and the save as OPML for TaskPaper 3 that does not allow to compile or run the scripts.

Choosing view does closes the window but then it reappears, only hitting escape closes it.

I was trying to use Sente6ToDevn70.applescript but I keep getting a window asking me for the growlhelperapp. I do not have growl installed, nor do I want it. Is there anyway to get around this? It won't let me run the script without finding it.

I really appreciate you sharing these great scripts with us and for putting them on Github so it's easy to follow updates. Following on FT's discussion was a pain but worth it. Anyhow, just wanted to say thanks and we appreciate it! Sorry for making and issue but there is no "appreciation" section ;) - Cheers!

Doing edits directly in TPCustomViews.txt that way won't work... Any ideas?

Update: Even adding and deleting via the script dialogue box only temporarily works, next time I run the the script, overwritten again...

I am trying to prevent your script from pulling in quicktags from Sente. I presumed that this setting was the one to set to false: property pblnGetKeywordsAndTags

But when I do this I get an error message: Unexpected SQL result
