kindleclippings's Issues

Any way to automatically upload to Notion?

Is it possible to make any modifications to this code so that it can maybe interact with notion API and upload the kindle highlights directly to my library on Notion? That would be so cool and time-saving.

Test on other versions

Currently this has been tested on python 3.6 on macOS, but I have not yet had the chance to test on python 2 or Windows.

Is it able to decode other language such as Chinese

New to python but I think it's having issue decoding Chinese, need encoding="utf-8" maybe?:

Error:
return codecs.charmap_decode(input,self.errors,decoding_table)[0]
UnicodeDecodeError: 'charmap' codec can't decode byte 0x8d in position 121: character maps to

OSError: [Errno 36] File name too long

Hi Robert, your script was exactly what I needed.

I just got this error from a particular book with a huge subtitle.

I added this lines at the end of the remove_chars method to fix it (after line 24):

# Clip the file names that are too long
if len(s) > 100:
    s = s[:100]

Supposedly the max file length is 255 chars, but I think it includes the path.

Cheers!
