This can keep track of complex tasks that may not have simple product files. Like, whether or not a virtualenv directory has had all of its requirements.txt processed or not.

A table where each row represents the task and when it was last completed should be sufficient to enable many things -- that way when requirements.txt gets updated, it will be obvious that the virtualenv is out of date.

Currently looks relative to breakable.py, which makes it hard to treat breakable as a symlink or put it in one's path, or even refer to Breakfiles in other folders

If it is needed to detect whether the compiler is working, here is a list of macros for detecting compiler vendor and version. Could be built into a miniprogram that runs to give compiler info:
