This is to be expected, Doom3 BFG needs full OpenGL 3.2 support - and the
Free driver don't have that (yet).

I'm not sure what you mean by "full OpenGL 3.2 support." We've been shipping OpenGL 3.3 Core profile since last year. It looks like Doom3 BFG is trying to use compatibility profile features... after asking for and receiving an OpenGL 3.3 Core profile context. Naughty, naughty.

If you want to use the OpenGL 3.2 core profile then you can try to use +set r_useOpenGL32 2.

However using the core profile requires the engine to be built with SDL 2 so use the CMake flags -SDL2=ON.
