You can't spawn weapons (via console) that aren't normally available in
the level.

Strange, I didn't have this issue and I played that map the day before
yesterday (actually, I played all of RoE without any problems)

Can you give us some more information?

  • Operating System
  • 32/64 bit
  • How did you start the map? (Console, Dev-Menu, normally through Campaign?)
  • Is there anything interesting in the console except for that Warning
    you posted originally?

How is it supposed to look like? I thought it's normal that those..

At least when running with wine, the Steam-Version looks the same, so
maybe this is a bug or even wanted behavior in the retail game?

Ok, but the missing shotgun is bug. Because it works with wine.
Not only that it does not work, but if choosen once, no other weapon can be used any more.

Maybe there were generated from an older version of RBDoom3BFG ?
I experienced similar problems with older versions.

In my Rage folder are generated files as well. Why are these files generated at all?
Can't they be checked if they are compatible? Can I delete the old files?

The .resources bundles should already contain those files. id Tech 5 uses a cache system for generating binary format files out of any not so efficient ASCII format files. Those files in generated/ will be only saved if there went something wrong while loading the generated files from the .resources. This can happen due to 64 bit port problems or some other flaws in the new virtual filesystem of the engine.
Usually you can delete all files in generated/ . It is only a cache folder.
