Black Screen on Android Client

Galaxy S7 with Android 6.01.

Connects to the unijoysticle-xxx AP just fine.

After I select the mode and port though, I press Start and the screen goes black. Nothing happens after that, and I have to kill the app. Waited several minutes.

Same behaviour with all modes.

Settings are untouched, Server IP is 192.168.4.1 . (My phone picks up the IP 192.168.4.2)

"Gyruss mode" not available on Android

Adding Gyruss mode for iOS was trivial since all the primitives are there.
But for Android I'll have to include a physics engine... perhaps I can "cheat" and fake it.

When connected using USB cable, device might not boot

To boot the NodeMCU make sure that it is not connected to the Commodore 64. Otherwise it might not boot. I guess (big guess) it is related to a line that should be floating, but it is not when it is connected to the C64. Apparently it only happens when it is powered via USB.

When begin powered with the external power supply, it seems that it can boot without problem.
