floatingsoftkeys's Issues

Launchable apps from home long press hidden at edges of screen

  1. When launching, make sure that all the launchable items display on screen. Fix this and I'll give 4 stars.

When you place shortcuts for the long-press on home button, it arranges them in a big circle around the home button. I placed my buttons at the bottom center of the screen, and when I went to open an app with long-press on the home button, only those shortcuts that were at or above the level of the buttons could be used.

I'm trying to take a screenshot now, but having issues because the overlay disappears when I hold the power button to get a screenshot, airdroid is refusing to show an image of what's on the screen, and the 3rd party delayed-screenshot app I got is just showing a black screen...

Anyways, I've got a crude drawing of what happens:
This is what happens when the floating keys are in the middle of the screen. All very well and good.
This, unfortunately, is what happens when the keys are at the bottom of the screen. It doesn't use the edges of the screen as a boundary; it simply arranges the items in a circle a set distance away without checking to see if that spot is on the screen or not.

Something else I just noticed now, it would probably be better to set the center of the circle as the home button, not the center of the floating keys (with the hidden move button, this looks a bit strange).

Force Close on Nexus4 (CM10.1-stable burild)

I try to build your sourcecode but it get force close on

myshell.getShell(true);

i use Roottools-2.6

what version you of roottools you choose to build it without force close?

Option to hide default soft keys

  1. See issue #3.
  2. See issue #4.
  3. Add (optional) separate buttons for 'recent apps' and launching items as well. Some of us have twitchy fingers and can't keep them still long enough to long-press.
  4. Hiding the navbar would be nice. There shouldn't really be any need to install another app just for this.
  5. Home button shouldn't need long-press to open launchers. Perhaps implementing it as a gesture would be better. Not really terribly important. Related to 3 above.
  6. Rectangular buttons would be useful. I'll make some myself and submit a pull if I have time, but anything I make would likely be inferior quality (made in paintbrush, not photoshop).

#2 from play store.

Allow collapsing the entire thing to a single menu button, so I can have these nice large buttons, but they don't get in the way when I'm playing games.

In other words, allow collapsing the all three buttons down to one. I have my buttons set rather to a rather large size (twitchy fingers again), and they block things when I'm playing games and using other apps that make use of the entire screen. Basically, I'm asking for a way to hide all but one of the buttons.
