android_build's Issues

Service loss after reboot

After rebooting I've been losing service. The only fix I've found so far is to do a whole reinstall and never reboot.

Any fixes?

Apps constantly 'refresh' when open resetting their state

For example: I am watching Netflix in the app and suddenly the app refreshes and jumps to an earlier point in the movie, generally the same point multiple times until I'm further in, as if it saved that state. Or snap chat refreshing to the state it's in when first opened closing the photo taken. It happens in lots of apps even the log cat app.
Here is the log cat of it happening 3 times in netflix

Build Failure (AUDIO_CHANNEL_IN_5POINT1)

I tried to post this issue to here first, but I was told i should post with Resurrection Remix. This was the only place I could think of to report this. At first, I modified the source a little (removed lock screen passcode ripple effect, changed 4g indicator to lte indicator, disabled type 0 sms/silent ping, enabled sending type 0 sms). But, the build got the below error, then a minute later failed.

hardware/qcom/audio-caf/msm8994/policy_hal/AudioPolicyManager.cpp:2140:25: error: use of undeclared identifier 'AUDIO_CHANNEL_IN_5POINT1'; did you mean 'AUDIO_CHANNEL_OUT_5POINT1'?
                    if (AUDIO_CHANNEL_IN_5POINT1 == channelMask) {
                        ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                        AUDIO_CHANNEL_OUT_5POINT1
system/media/audio/include/system/audio-base.h:187:5: note: 'AUDIO_CHANNEL_OUT_5POINT1' declared here
    AUDIO_CHANNEL_OUT_5POINT1 = 63u, // (((((OUT_FRONT_LEFT | OUT_FRONT_RIGHT) | OUT_FRONT_CENTER) | OUT_LOW_FREQUENCY) | OUT_BACK_LEFT) | OUT_BACK_RIGHT)

I thought it was a problem with my changes, so I hard reset my changes. Then, I retried the build, and it gave this same error. Here is the full terminal output from running mka (there may be more errors I did not see): https://bpaste.net/show/d90f07e6be85. I am using Arch Linux, but i resolved errors due to this early on and built a working rom in the past.There may be other errors in the log i have posted.

[Please move this issue to the right repository:] website leaves user confused about supported devices

The webpage at https://resurrectionremix.com/ tells the reader that the software is, 'Available for a wide range of devices with support from developers in forums.' Also, there is a link to 'releases for officially supported devices'. That link leads to a list of directories (https://sourceforge.net/projects/resurrectionremix-ten/files/), where that list does not seem to correspond to manufacturers and indeed in any way to the makers of 'phones or other devices. Thus, when trying to determine whether my Moto G First Generation was supported - officially or not - I was left in the dark.

I apologise if I overlook or misunderstand something.

Why you need cm-device-ota ?

I get 2 of the same file after the assembly. CM ota and RR. We are building two archives, spending 2 times more time on it than necessary. What for?
