hdrtray's Issues

Needs a flyout menu for About This...

Great little tray item, especially since Win11's built in shortcut (WIN-ALT-B) doesnt work for a lot of people.

You need to add an "About this software" box so that in a year or two when i forget where i got this i can click it and it will tell me the name and a webadress to get it at. Should include your name as Author too. :)

No longer working as of KB5022913

Installed the Windows 11 update KB5022913 last night, and HDRTray no longer puts an icon in the taskbar. It looks like this update a bunch of taskbar changes, so I'm guessing that's the culprit.

Add key shortcut to toggle HDR

Hi,

Been using the 0.2 version and it works perfectly, so thank you! A key shortcut to toggle between SDR and HDR would be a very welcome addition, since I don't use the Xbox Game Bar app myself (installing such a bloated piece of software just for its toggle functionality seems like overkill).

Apologies btw. if this isn't the right place for feedback and suggestions and thanks again for making HDRTray!

Visibility in the system tray

Would it be possible to change the tray icons to be more obvious? Perhaps one big S or H, or a background colour when HDR is on? Anyway, awesome tool, can't believe I only just discovered it. Thanks!

Toggle per display

I'm two displays usually. One big gaming monitor, and a secondary, desktop only screen. However, the latter also support HDR (somewhat) and toggles in parallel with the tray switch. That's quite undesirable.
In a perfect world, it would switch the monitor the tray icon is used on. But being able to hard-select which monitor will toggle would also be great.

Add ability control brightness in HDR mode

Using HDR by default. And when switching from non-HDR game back to desktop HDR mode - HDR brightness is too dim, on minimal brightness level. Moving HDR/SDR balance slider in settings restores the HDR brightness, but had to do it every time. It would be great to have correct HDR brightness level restore from fullscreen game non-HDR mode and as a plus own HDR brightness slider - if it's possible of course) Thanks!
