Currently the metadata only contains the versions for each task, but it would be relatively simple to add:

• Preview (isStable: false)
• Deprecated
• Repository.Uri (SourceUrl)
• Marketplace Uri (Homepage)

Since all this data is available.

Would I need to add the metadata at the Release level, or can I just populate the repo and homepage data at the ReleaseResult level?

This repository contains the data for Azure Pipelines tasks from the marketplace, but the built-in tasks data is still contained in the main Renovate repository. The built-in task data should also be generated here.

it should extend our organization preset

Each time we sync from the marketplace, the statistics are the most likely to change. By stripping them from the extensions.json before saving, we don't need to save new copies as often.
