I've seen your project and i decided to take out of my portfolio an old sketch for an old idea..
Now i propose you a totally re-design which already includes issue #33 and #32

Try it on Figma
Redesign includes also user interactions and message alerts. There is a note, a detail to increase usability on mobile and tablet experiences

Maybe, if you like it, you can use this to give an "art direction" to contributors.
