You could use an app to hide menu bar icons like Dozer: https://github.com/Mortennn/Dozer .
This is not a "permanent solution" per se, but temporal that could work for you. Hopefully this feature gets added later!

This might not be an option for all but I use Bartender to hide all items in my bar, it is only $15.

I would be already happy if there was an option to only show the shield icon (without the "Raivo" text) in the menubar. Without the text, Raivo would only use 1/3 precious menubar space
