• To get an API key for OpenWeather click here
• Sign up for an account, and sign in.
• Once you are signed in, click on the API keys tab.
• Locate the API key called Default. You'll use this key(YOUR_NEW_API_KEY) in every request you make to the OpenWeather API.
• Clone or download to your local repository
• add .env to our .gitignore file now.
• create a .env file in the root directory of our project
• The variable that we're storing in the .env is the key: API_KEY
• run npm install
• in your terminal, run $npm install [email protected] --save-dev
• npm run start to build and launch server
