Hi,

I'm looking for something to control the volume of Spotify on Mac Sonoma using the FN volume keys on the keyboard.
I was hoping this was the solution but it doesn't work. I play via Spotify connect to a device if that makes a difference.

Is there any chance this fork could be added to Homebrew for ease of installation and updating?

I'm using AirPods Pro. When I use the touch control on those, single press, it opens the Music app when no other audio source is in use. Would be great if this action can also trigger another app (Spotify) to open instead of the Music app.

Mac Media Forwarded is not working anymore.

After doing exactly what that message demands (enabling Mac Media Forwarded in Accessibility & Automation), it still doesn't works. It worked for many years. Seems like this is the end. It's a shame.

I specifically would like this same functionality for PlexAmp, but I'm sure other people would like it for other apps.

I've noticed ever since upgrading to Mac OS Sonoma that the app will not open or run, even after changing all of the settings in system preferences. Someone please help!

When MMKF is launched, if I'm using the pause button on Apple EarPods, it just rapidly pauses and then resumes the music.
The pause button on keyboard works fine.

now i get the app in security & privacy > accessibility
but it doesn't show under
security & privacy > automation > privacy

how to do it ?

I've just upgrade to the latest version. Though MacMediaKeyForwarder.app is activated under:
Privacy&Security > Accessibility
and
Privacy&Security > Automation

When starting MacMediaKeyForwarder.app however it gives an error:
"Cannot start event listening. Please add Mac Media Key Forwarder to the "Security & Privacy" pane in System Preferences. Check "Accessibility" and "Automation" under the "Privacy" tab."

When Spotify is launched with Play button it's frozen and can't be controlled manually :/

I know Sonoma is still in beta, but 3.1.2 asks for the following permissions (even though it already has them) and then quits.

• Automation
• Accessibility

Removing the permissions and re-granting does not work, downgrading to 3.1.1 works.

I am on macos 13.3.1.

When I first launched it, it requested an accessibility permission. I gave it.

It never requested automation permission, and never appeared in menu bar. Just hangs without saying anything.

I'm on Ventura 13.5.1, with macmediakeyforwarder v. 3.1.2 (build 1). This happens rarely, but the only way to fix it that I've found is to quite and reopen MMKF. The other keys (forward/backwards) seem to work fine.

Are there logs I can pull up to see what's going on, or some way I can get data from the app next time it happens so I can file a proper bug report?

It would be great if Volume keys would be send to Music/iTunes as well. This would enable volume control on AirPlay devices. I imaging that System as well as Music/iTunes Volume should be adjusted simultaneously (and not one overwriting the other).

The app itself is compatible with Mojave, but you need to add it as trusted application in order to make it function properly.
