after installing Monterey with this EFI on e5480 (actually with using a suggested tweak for a graphics adapter in this issue thread #4 ), I run to yet another issue with graphics settings. For some reason, macOS detects the built-in display in a weird way.
All reports fine, in About this Mac, it reports as built in display, correct resolution, correct size (13,9-inch), but in Settings->Display, the system obviously things it is an external monitor as I understood from reading and searching online, as for built-in displays, in the scaling option, there should be a selector for text size. However, my e5480 shows resolution instead, which should be available for external displays.

This is a problem, as on fullHD 13,9-inch display, everything is just way too small. And changing the resolution makes things blurry (who would guess). External utilities like RDM does not really work as they also work with resolution rather than with text (UI) scale. I also tried "defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist DisplayResolutionEnabled -bool false|true" from terminal (sudo, then restarts), still didn't work. As suggested, also tried to click on Scaled radio-button with key modifiers (ctrl, command, shift, alt), also with no results.

As a last resort, I tried also to do a complete reinstall using the EFI built (because the original installation was still using the wrong display setup in EFI and the EFI was tweaked while the system was already installed, so who knows, what could be loaded wrongly to the OS) - but yet, no change, still tucked on resolutions rather than scaling.

Checked with original macBook Air of my friend, laptos do have text scaling rather than resolutions.

Any idea, how to fix that?

And my question have someone idea why it doesn't work, I try all USB ports, two different pendrivres. Or have someone working efi for this dell?

I am struggling to install hackintosh on my Latitude E5480. All my attempts so far were termintated arount WhateverGreen and some graphic adapter error. That is Why I have searched model-specific EFI.

Unfortunately, it seems to have the same issue, although cannot really tell as this EFI has only graphical interface (= progress bar) so no output I could pass.

It hangs around 1/4 of progress and just halts there, doing nothing (even usb stick not flashing) ...
Tried to reset NVRAM.

Any guess, what could be wrong please?

I used the latest EFI file, validated it with OCAuxillaryTools, & tried booting OpenCore. The first time I did that, I was able to open the grub efi & adjusted the DVMT, but everytime after that has shown the Apple logo, played the startup chime, and then gone black and restarted the PC to loop infinitely. Any ideas?

Are the Broadcom Qcnfa344a Dual Band Dw1820 CN-097XFP or CN-0D4V21 compatible with this efi? Is it plugnplay?

Ok, so here is a thing.
I need to connect 2 external monitors.
On any other laptop, I am able to connect on HDMI through onboard connector and one through USB-C dongle.

Now, I use some generic dongle/hub, HDMI, VGA, LAN, and some USB ports.

When connecting one monitor EITHER through onboard HDMI OR through dongle`s HDMI, the monitor works well.
But if I try to plug in BOTH, the displays go crazy, like the system argues, which port is maped where, efectively all displays shutting of and on as the system tries to decide whare to put what, and this lasts until I disconnect one of the 2 monitors.

Now, let`s make things more interesting.

When I take a very simple USB-C to HDMI adapter, ta-daaa all monitors are simply working fine and I can use all 3 monitors.

However. It is USB-C hub! It should technically work automatically as it is a simple USB-C device. And the issue is not in the hub itself, as I do use it on my windows laptop for quite a time for 3 monitor setup.

So, any clue, what can cause this behavior?

I am not sure, what to provide, if you know about any system log/report that will be useful, I will be more than happy to find it and post it.

Trackpad works fine, wifi is working as well. Just the bluetooth that does not turn on and the onboard audio that is not working as well.
