This definitely looks like the cache is not persisting. I don't think there is an option in devappserver to see when a cache entity is being invalidated.

Do you see any warnings in the devappserver of the form nds:...? This could be related to the gob.Register bug when you use a time.Time property that you discovered.

Good catch. All of our entities have multiple time.Time fields and are throwing the warning.
