Currently, the CoDL binary format sends field values "inline" in the structure. But the structure is likely to be several times smaller than the textual content of the fields, and the structure could be sent in its entirety (specifically with field lengths) prior to the content. This would facilitate random access of content.

Currently, the first parse error in a CoDL document will result in failure. But parsing could potentially continue, and multiple errors could be reported.
