fetch-and-security-demo

Use this repo to get understanding of important web security related topics

starting the nodeJS server

  • start a new termial in app folder
  • type cd server in the termial and hit enter (this would change the current working directory of termial to server)
  • now do npm i
  • once npm i is successful do node index.js
  • a message will appear in termial server started at http://localhost:3000 (if 3000 is available)

Starting the client

  • select the index.html and open it in vs code
  • Install the pulgin live server from vs code extensions from side bar in vs code
  • now you would see go live option at the bottom right of vs code.
  • click on that while making sure the current open file is index.html
  • this would start your client on port 5500
