When Starting Any Portable Version Starting From Today Whatsapp Ask For Downloading The Microsoft Store Version.
How Can We Block This Starting Check? Need To Patch The Exe?

Version 0.3.5374 has virus Trojan.GenericKD.32637835 accordingly to Bitdefender.

While starting the portable version (after extracting it from the .7z edition) a error (look at the screenshot) will be shown und the app crashes.

Hi Max,

This one is also not portable:
AppData\Roaming\WhatsApp\logs

Is it possible to change the path via the config file? I`m not sure from the docs.

Steps to reproduce this issue

1. Install to a new folder
2. Try to launch whatsapp-portable.exe

Expected behaviour

Launches WhatsApp

Actual behaviour

Throws a Javascript error and fails to start:

Would be nice if this can be, somehow, added to portable.

Since maybe an hour ago it seems WhatsApp tries to update without success the installed whatsapp-portable-win64-2.2123.7-30
So likely a similar issue like 1 1/2 month ago here #37

Sad if WhatsApp is intentionally breaking Updates (Functionality) for Portable Versions.

Could you update the portable to reflect currently available whatsapp base?
As per today seems to be WhatsApp for Windows 2.2202.12.0 (64-bit)

Even not solving the current bug, users could benefit from not needing an active whatsapp app in the mobile ... (one of last features of Window WA)

I have still the same problem with 2.2134.10-32 like bevor. I already change the folder to store WhatsApp, but the same issue occur again.

Today the WhatsApp portable downloaded an update and failed in install attempt. This has caused the app to stop working. Is anyone else facing the same issue?

Current version still does not work.
