While doing the Network services 2 box on Tryhackme I was unable to run the bash executable to become the root user. Each time i would run it using the command ./bash -p with the permissions -rwsr-sr-x I would remain the user cappucino instead of becoming root.
This may be due to a patch applied to the OS or NFS packages on the box.

I tried copying the exact commands found on this writeup without any success. This issue is specifically targetting the question "#6 Great! If all’s gone well you should have a shell as root! What’s the root flag?" from the writeup.
