re:squake

Kotlin rewrite of the popular mod which adds quake-style movement to minecraft using the fabric mod loader (should be compatible with quilt). Requires Fabric Language Kotlin, depends on YetAnotherConfigLib, Fabric API and optionally Mod Menu.

This mod works fine if installed only on the client, but in order to prevent fall damage from slowing down the player it must be installed on the server too. Players can toggle the mod individually in the settings, or using the keybind.

Build Instructions

  1. Clone the git repository
  2. Navigate into the cloned directory
  3. Run ./gradlew build

The built jar file will be in build/libs/

Backport to 1.16.1 (Speedrunning Version)

Had a content creator looking to try out this mod on the MC version used for speedrunning (1.16.1). Would be cool to see support, I know between the multiple versions of this mod that section of game versions was skipped over.

Update to 1.20

As the title says new version came out and old mods that are not updated don't work

Update to 1.20.1

Seems like the mod doesn't work on 1.20.1 for some reason, even tho it's just a hotfix. Shouldn't take long to update it

Breaks speed boosts from botania items

The planetstrider, sojourner's, and globetrotter's sash all increase base movement speed. But with this mod enabled they don't apply their movement speed bonuses, but still increase jump height. Would a fix for this be possible?

Client-side only or required server-side?

Title is self-explanatory. Cool that the mod's 1.19.2 now but, it crashes on server with classnotfound exceptions detailing the client missing, and works fine on client. Following that logic, I'm guessing it's client-side only?

Broken powdered snow behaviour (playing on 1.20.1)

The vanilla behaviour of being able to float and sink at will while wearing leather boots on powdered snow seems to be broken while using this mod; instead letting you sink but any attempt to move up just has you hopping innefectually as you would without the boots.

Misadvertization

On Modrinth, it states that the mod can be from 1.19 to 1.19.4. But the versions here are only for 1.19.4. Could you either backport to all main versions of 1.19 or remove the incorrect version stating on Modrinth?

Underwater movement is broken since 1.1.0

i've been trying this mod out and thought it was pretty neat, but i've encountered a bug which is seemingly not present in the previous version (1.0.4).
for some reason, when you're underwater (with sharking enabled), you just float around?? like gravity isn't affected, you also glide around when moving. additionally, with sharking disabled, it acts as if you're on the ground, but jumping is disabled. swimming is entirely fine though, it seems.
i tested this on both 1.19.4 and 1.19.2/3, and they're both bugged.

Support for Ad Astra gravity

Currently while using this mod the custom gravity on ad astra planets breaks and reverts to normal gravity. Is there any way this mod could be updated to work with other mods that have varying gravity values? If not, could there be a way to disable resquake movement only while in certain custom dimensions?
