Question

I will preface this by saying I am approaching this as less of a self assessment tool, and more of a tool for a manager to track the competencies of their employees.

Looking at the project, it seems like skills can only be mapped to one category. How might you approach it if you wanted to have the same skill available under multiple categories, without having to enter it multiple times for a user?

An example is as follows:
Lets say you have three categories of employees - Project Manager, Developer, Business Analysist
Project Manager gets the skills Planner, Power Query, and Power Point.
Developer gets the skills Planner, Power Apps - Canvas App, and Power BI - Desktop
Business Analysist gets the skills Power BI, Power Point, and Excel

Any thoughts on how this might occur?

What happened?

When you go to add a new desk and fill out the required fields the new desk doesn't get added to the sharepoint list.

You can however successfully edit existing desks without issue.

Steps to reproduce

1. In the Manage Desks screen click the + icon
2. Fill out the required fields
3. Click update

You then navigate back to the ManageDesks screen but the new record is not written to the SharePoint list.

Expected behavior

Would expect the new desk information to be added to the sharepoint list upon clicking the update button.

What happened?

I have uploaded the template to my company's Sharepoint and everything is working perfectly except ONE thing - on the select desk page where you click the little 'i' to open an image of the desk location. I have uploaded the image to my Sharepoint Documents section, I then copied the link and pasted that into the 'Desks' list.

However when I click the 'i' all I get is a greyed out background and the image doesn't load. I have tried uploading in JPG and also PNG format and it still doesn't work.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go through Book option
2. Select Date and continue
3. on desk selection press the 'i'

I expect the image of my desk layout to load.

Hi

I'm having problems with the following coding line.

// Load full profile.
ClearCollect(col_profile,Ungroup(AddColumns(col_applications,"myGroupedColumn",Filter(col_network,Title=col_applications[@Application])),"myGroupedColumn")); the error is The function 'Ungroup' has some invalid arguments.

This line of coding is within the OnVisible function on the Splash page, the OnChange function within the following dropdowns dd_user_level & dd_target_user_level & dd_dev_level & dd_target_dev_level on the My Profile page.

I've had a look around google but unable to see what may be causing this error.

What happened?

Can't get it to create any events. I noticed this error on the Create Event Page where it says at SubmitForm(frmEvent) that "Title: Field 'Title' is required." Any suggestions?

1. Followed all the steps. Lists are there, no other errors except a warning on the filters.
2. Went to the "events" list and set "title" to not be required just in case.

Error coming from registering. Workflow for notifications says Triggernotenabled, due to - this formula uses scope, which is not presently supported for evaluation. - This is on the ThisItem.ID. Seat count is working, just the notifications.

in the Prerequisites section of the Name Pronunciation Recorder sample, users are advised to "download the Power Automate sample Send Name Pronunciation Recording to Library and IMPORT THAT FILE FIRST". There is no link to this power automate sample, and it took me quite some time to realize that was in a completely different section of PNP. A direct link to that sample would be quite helpful for new community members who don't quite know their way around yet.

We would like to user Power App to create an online phonebook that is modern, user friendly and connected to an existing data source such as Active Directory and maybe Delve.

The required features are:

• Data columns: First Name, Last Name, Job Title, Phone, Email, Location, Division, Department.
• Main View would be like a SharePoint list where you can filter by any column name such as Name or Location.
• Ability to export a phone list for a specific department in an Excel/PDF format.
• Phonebook would show certain AD organizational units (OUs).
• Advanced Search Criteria using multiple conditions: Search by Job Title and Department together.
• Search box on Top of page that applies to any field and use regular expressions like wild cards and contextual search: Kathy, Cathy, Cathie, *..th…%. You simple type then Hit ENTER.
• Ability to add custom fields not connected to AD to add unstructured info i.e Notes: “Bill lives on the second floor in the corner office”
• Pictures and Manager/Direct reports needed.
• Ability to display additional department column that could be populated from extra attribute in AD like Extension Attribute 2

Your Weekly Timesheet is a great tool. I am able to see the data is getting logged into 'TimeEntries' list. However, 'MY TIMEHSEETS' and 'APPROVALS' pages are completely blank.

Filter in desk selection is not filtering unavailable desks.

4. Repeat with same dates
5. Desk selection still showing previously selected desk as available

Expected behavior

I excpect the previously booked desk to not be visible.

I think there might be some issue with the way the startTime and endTime variable is stored. It seems like it is storing it in dd.mm.yyyy hh.mm format, while the list is seemingly storing the date as m/d/yyyy.

I have tested with US time/language settings and Norwegian, no difference in filtering.

Double booking possible if a user books the times very similar

i.e.

User 1 books Desk 1 from 08:00 to 09:00
User 2 tries to book Desk 1 from 08:30 to 09:00 - not possible.
User 2 tries to book from 08:30 to 09:30 - possible

Hi,

thank you so much for providing this really great Power App template. I installed it and it was a lot of fun doing so.

One thing I noticed that might be valuable for reading through your documentation to highlight what code you have to change in order to set up the data connection correctly.

What I mean is that while I removed the data connection and then added it again to the Power App, I saw a lot of errors occur (see attachment 01).

For somebody who is not that familiar with Power Apps it would be great if you could briefly describe what needs to be changed to make it work.

E.g. changing the name of the SharePoint List used in the code (see attachment 02)

Under the section Unpack .msapp file in the item "Using the command prompt, type:" you have a pack command. It should be an unpack command.

What happened?

Created sharepoints list as per documentation, imported the msapp file, deleted the connections and added connections to my sharepoint site.

Cannot add desks through the app (as per other issue) and cannot book a desk - whatever dates I select, it always returns that no desks are available.

2.Select any date, eg 21st June, 09:00:14:00
3.Press Continue.

Hello, the Skills Matrix Power App has been so valuable within our organization! SO much so, that we would like to also track our employees' certifications within the app. I am developing a page similar to the My_Profile page to list all certifications within our organization and each person's respective issue date, expiration date, and ID. In doing so, I am confused as to why the gallery on the My_Profile page is set to pull from the col_profile rather than connecting directly to one of the SharePoint lists. Can you please help me understand why that is and at what point is the col_profile collection populated with the different applications stored in the SP list?

If one wanted to use their own Excel spreadsheet to create a word list all they would have to do is create a table with column name ID and column name Word and import, and then use that datasource, correct? hanks for providing this! I've never touched Power Apps before, so a bit of struggle. I completed the "deployment" instructions per the GitHub page, but could use some guidance after that, if anyone has tips.

1. I added a desk to the Desks list in SP, but it doesn't show up in the app when attempting to make a booking ("Uh oh, no openings found!"). It was already connected to SP lists via the "Data" tab on the left.

2. Lots of small red "x" symbols. Seems related to the gallery groups? Not sure where to begin to fix this.
