Finally made some progress on this tonight.

Since the solution suggests deploying to Azure, I added a WebJob to the project that is triggered on-demand via Http. (An Azure Schedule job can make it run once per day.) The WebJob will post a card to an Office 365 Group / Team connector.

Any issues with this approach?
