The searchGeonames function on search.html is nearly identical to the onSuccess function on index.html.

It should be refactored and moved to geoinfo.js

The country dropdown menu on settings.html is hardcoded but instead should be built with a JSON of ISO 3166-2 countries.

Consider adding HTML data-order attribute to icons to allow proper sorting.

Currently when loading the app, a blank white screen is displayed. It's not clear that the app is loading and makes it appear that there's a problem.

Simply adding a splash screen would make this better.

When using the keyboard (either by typing in the filter field or in the address field on the search page), the status bar and navigation buttons appear and obscure part of the header at the top and all of the pagination buttons at the bottom.

The status bar and navigation buttons disappear if you close and reopen the app, click on a More Info button, or lock your screen and re-enter the app.
